PAIA Policy

The NFO investigates complaints against financial institutions. To achieve its objectives, the NFO must collect and use information, including personal information. The Promotion of Access to Information Act No.2 of 2000 (PAIA) gives effect to the right of access to information held by a private body that is required for the exercise or protection of any rights as set out in Section 32 of the Constitution, subject to justifiable limitations. The following manual contains descriptions of the structure, functions and services of the NFO and the availability of its records in accordance with PAIA.
