Stellenbosch University

The National Financial Ombud and Stellenbosch University.

In 2026, there’s a new way to access our services thanks to our monthly presence at the Stellenbosch University Law Clinic.

With a monthly satellite office presence staffed by NFO team members, we are making it easier for community members to access information about their rights regarding financial services complaints, and to learn more about how the National Financial Ombud can assist them, and how to access our services.

This satellite office will serve as an additional point of contact for consumers who need the help of the National Financial Ombud, or who need assistance with financial literacy or fraud prevention. Our team members will facilitate access to our free, fair and independent services and provide advice and assistance on complaints about banks, insurers and credit providers.

Watch this space for confirmed dates for our presence at the Stellenbosch University Law Clinic or reach out to us using the details below.

In addition to our monthly presence at Stellenbosch University, we will still be offering walk-in services at our Johannesburg and Cape Town offices, but members of the Stellenbosch community can now access the information they need much closer to home.

At the National Financial Ombud, we are committed to upholding financial fairness and to achieving our Corporate Social Responsibility goals, and delivering against our educational and training mandate. This includes making what we do more transparent and accessible, and ensuring that our Ombud services are freely available to all financial services consumers. As part of our presence at Stellenbosch University, we’ll also be participating in local community outreach programmes.
